Horse Speak is a practical system for understanding and communicating with horses through their natural body language. Developed by Sharon Wilsie, Horse Speak helps horse owners, trainers, and equine professionals recognize what horses are expressing through posture, facial expressions, movement, and subtle behavioral cues that are often overlooked.
By learning Horse Speak, you can build trust more quickly, reduce confusion and stress, improve handling and training, and develop a deeper partnership with your horse. Rather than relying on force or guesswork, Horse Speak provides a clear framework for creating two-way communication that helps both horse and human feel understood, confident, and connected.
Whether you are working with a performance horse, a rescue horse, or a beloved companion, Horse Speak offers tools that can improve safety, strengthen relationships, and help every interaction become more meaningful.

Horse SpeakĀ® BLUE: Horses as Co-Facilitators in Therapeutic Settings
Friday evening will feature a special introduction to elements of the Horse SpeakĀ® BLUE Program and how they apply when horses are participating as co-facilitators in therapeutic and helping-professional settings.
We will explore how precise observation, regulation, body language, and Horse SpeakĀ® principles can help us better understand what is happening between the horse, the human, and the environment.
This evening is designed for therapists, counselors, equine-assisted professionals, horse professionals, educators, caregivers, and anyone interested in understanding the horseās role more clearly.
You do not need to work in a therapeutic setting to attend. All are welcome.
Because when we learn to recognize what the horse is actually communicating, we begin to see the interaction differently.

MeetĀ Sharon Wilsie
Sharon Wilsie is the founder and creator of Horse SpeakĀ®, an original communication system that helps people understand what horses are saying through body language, gestures, posture, movement, and space.
For more than 30 years, Sharon has studied how horses naturally communicate with one another. Her work has helped thousands of horse owners build safer, calmer, and more trusting relationships by learning the language horses already speak.
Sharon is the author of the bestselling Horse Speak book series, an international clinician, and an educator whose work has influenced horse owners, trainers, therapists, veterinarians, and equine professionals around the world.
She believes that everything means something, and that learning even a few words of Horse Speak can change the way people experience horses for a lifetime.
Meet Laura Wilsie
Laura Wilsie is the Co-Founder and CEO of Horse SpeakĀ®.
Working alongside Sharon Wilsie, Laura has helped build Horse Speak from an idea into an international educational community serving horse owners, professionals, and organizations around the world.
Laura is an international clinician and educator who specializes in helping people develop better timing, awareness, and communication with their horses. Her calm, practical teaching style helps students turn Horse Speak concepts into everyday skills they can use immediately.
As CEO of Horse Speak, Laura leads the growth of the organization while supporting students through educational programs, clinics, online learning, and the Horse Speak community. Her passion is making Horse Speak accessible so more people can experience safer, more trusting relationships with their horses.
Laura believes that every person can learn to understand their horse, and that even a few words of Horse Speak can transform a relationship.
